HP conference set for NIU!

Hello, fellow HP fans!  Later this fall, my school, Northern Illinois University, is going to be having a Harry Potter conference!  It's on October 31st and November 1st.  Here's the website for more details.  NIU is in DeKalb, which is about two hours away from the city.  I hope to see all of you there!

From what I gathered, they're still in the planning stages, because they're asking if anybody has any programs/lectures/whatever that they'd want to present on the topic of discovery.

This is the email I got today:

I just wanted to provide you with information about our Harry Potter
event this fall. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Searching For Platform 9 ¾: An Academic Harry Potter® Experience

Friday, October 31
Halloween Costume Ball
7 - 11 p.m.
Altgeld Hall, Northern Illinois University, DeKalb, IL

This event is included in the conference fee or tickets can be
purchased separately @ $10 Adults, $5 Student. Call 815-753-1456 to
purchase tickets. Everyone is encouraged to dress up as their favorite
characters, dress formal or just come as they are and dance the night
away. There will be plenty of free candy too!

Bring as many new and slightly used books as you can to be donated to
Neighbors House non-for profit group the night of the dance.

Saturday, November 1
Searching For Platform 9 ¾: An Academic Harry Potter® Experience
8:30 - 6 p.m.
Adult programming - DuSable Hall, Student programming - Reavis Hall

Adults and Students grades 4 - 12 are welcome to attend and learn more
about how this book series is a rich source for understanding culture,
history and how the world works.

Programming will consist of lectures, group discussions, writing
workshops, craft session and keynote address.

Fee: $85 Adult ($95 Adult after October 15)
$75 Student ($85 Student after October 15)
(Grades 4 - 12, Community College, College, must be able to show school
ID at check-in)
